CWC GM's Personal Roleplaying Guide.

1. When wrestlers don't have a match scheduled it's OK to just show your character doing everyday things. It helps develop your wrestler as a real person and gives everyone an idea of what he's really like. 100% fluff role plays are looked down upon, at least always mention something that's happening in WWA. Like your wrestlers next match or a feud he's in, or something else that's going on that doesn't really involve your wrestler but he has an opinion about.

2. You can always stick to the basic interview, but at times that gets boring and predictable unless you have great mic skills like Steve Austin or Jericho, but even now we all know what his interviews will be like. Try to do something that fits your wrestler be creative and have fun. If your wrestler has a gimmick this is a good place to work on it and get it over. A lot of guys really get into it as you see. Keep it in a movie script like format. Creating a supporting cast of characters that interact with your wrestler helps out a lot. Some wrestlers have supporting cast that are more popular and over than the wrestler is.

3. Being descriptive of the setting your wrestler is in is very helpful because it helps paint a image in the readers head.

4. There really is no right or wrong way. Every one has their on style and develop a style/format that works for them.

5. If you can do something that no one else does, you will get our attention.

6. Trash talking is always the best way to create heat. Don't just ramble on about your opponents. Read his bio, talk about something in his personality and history. Visit his home town but always find something for your wrestler to interact with.

7. This should probably be #1. Always be true to your wrestler, have him act the way you want him to act. If you say he's anti social have him act awkwardly towards his reporter and not willing to open up easily. If he is a ass kicking beer drinking cursing red neck in the ring and in on-card interviews, but you want to show that away from the ring he really has a soft heart toward children and a sense of humor go for it. Or if he has high confidence in his wrestling skills and ability and never at a lost for words, have him act not so confident around female. Things like this give your wrestler depth. A wrestler with a lot of depth to his personality, are always easy to Role Play for because they are flexible enough to do a variety things in a flash.

8. The key word is Role Playing not interviewing. A role play is not just a interview. Role playing means you take a role of a created person and give him life. A wrestler life doesn't consist of only Interviews. Wrestlers have families, girlfriends, they act in movies and other things. Heck you can make your wrestler a High School shop teacher away from the ring, and if you role play it right it will be believable.
